Somali refugee who set herself alight in the Nauru detention center has arrived in Brisbane for treatment. Hodan Yasin, 21, suffered critical injuries on Monday, and was treated at the Nauru hospital by Australian doctors. She was flown to Brisbane this morning, and taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment
The Senate inquiry had grilled the Border Force officials about the time frame surrounding the medical evacuations. Deputy Commissioner, Cindy Briscoe, told the senators aircraft already on Nauru were not suitable for the evacuation and planes had to be sent from Australia.
