People Pollution

Continuing the Conversation
People Pollution

Today’s topic may seem unusual but probably one we have all experienced and thought about but not exactly in the following terms.  We talk about pollution of our resources such as water, air and soil; we talk about noise pollution; we talk about depleting our global resources, our natural resources and being good stewards.  However, aren’t people global resources and natural resources as well?  How about people pollution?

I’m talking about those people in different parts of our lives that are always negative, always complaining, always angry at someone or something that pollute those around them and drain all the positive energy out of the environment.  Some of them are particularly toxic for those of us that are caring and sensitive and make us second guess ourselves and our abilities.  We experience stress, physically and emotionally, and become ill.  Is it best to avoid these people, eliminate them from our lives, or try talking to them?
