Two African women, both Nigerian, from two different generations have chosen to promote and preserve the African cultural heritage through their art works.
The first, Nike Davies Okundaye grew up and lives in Nigeria and she wants to continue traditional practices that are lost.
The second, is a Nigerian who grew up in the diaspora and now lives in England. She wants to keep the link with the land of her ancestors through her art works.
For these two women, their artistic careers also carry a powerful political message because each in their own way, are really working to preserve African heritage despite the push for modernized globalization of the world.
